The President of Yoruba Council Worldwide(YCW), Barr Oladotun Hassan, has said that the apex leadership of the association is planning to celebrates 7th annual Omoluabi Festival to edify unity and progress Yorubas.
Hassan made the disclosure during the Press Conference at Ooni of Ife's Palace, on Saturday, in Ile-Ife.
He used the medium to invite all distinguish royal fathers, esteemed stakeholders, great sons and daughters of Yorubaland to the occasion at the Gubert Ogunde Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
According to him, the theme tagged "Abeokuta 2025" which is expected to play host to all royal fathers led by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, their grand patron.
The President explained that other traditional rulers expecting are: the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, the Alake of Egbalnad, Oba Aremu Gbadebo and Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu among others.
Hassan appealed to all the Southwestern Governors to join hands with President Bola Tinubu, the Chief Host of the event.
The President adding that Gov. Dapo Abiodun who host the event, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Chairman, Southwest Governors Forum and Executive Gov. Of Lagos State.
Others are: Sen Adeleke Ademola of Osun, Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Gov Ayedatiwa Orebiso of Ekiti to join his counterparts.
He stated that Yoruba indigenous across globally should grace the national celebration of culture, our brand and our unity.
"We use the opportunity to call all multinational to see the opening of this great opportunity to come and sell their product, to advertise and to also partner with us.
"As we grow the Yoruba land together, we believe that the security, education, health and infrastructural development of Yoruba people is important.
"And that's why we are calling on all and sundry to see this clarion call of unity of development of national opening to celebrate all indigenous Omoluabi of Yoruba land". He expressed.
The President emphasised that World Omoluabi Day has rightly acknowledged and would use to celebrate the figure, hardworking spirit, the dedication, the integrity of the Yoruba people, who are well blessed with God given wisdom.
"And that's why the global community has referred us Omoluabi, meaning God's own begotten child, we are endowed by this Christen name that's being granted to all us in Yorubaland.
"And the best way to showcase our value is to attend the seventh edition, "the celebration as you know will commence in Ile-Ife, in April.
"We'll be playing host to Ooni, who will pray for this year edition to be of good success.We believethat people's support will add good success to the event.
"We expect the youth, civil servants, all royal fathers, mothers, fathers, market women, the professionals in Yorubaland, let all and sundry come on board". He maintained.
Hassan stressed that this is a time to celebrates our heritage and traditional culture, whereby people from different states will relate together as one and thereby value their culture.
"This is the time for all of us to see the value of oneness. Commended Ooni for his fatherly role. Believe that this year edition will be the spectacular one". President stated.
