Eid-el-fitri: lackadaisical attitudes of parents leading youths to immoralities - Chief Imam

The Chief Imam of Oluorogbo Central Mosque, Alhaji AbdulQuadri AbdulKudus, has said that the lackadaisical attitudes of some parents are leading youths to act of immoralities.

The Chief Imam stated this during an interview with our correspondent after the Eid-el-fitri service at Oluorogbo Central Mosque, on Sunday, in Ile-Ife.

He frowns for lack of parental care for some children which had turned many to ritualists, kidnappers, Yahoo boys and rapists among others.

The Muslim cleric said that in the olden days, children do have handy work despite being educated, but today, social media have occupied them.

According to him, youths have rely on making profit on social media through their engagement which led some to fraudsters, "Hello Baba".

He admonished parents to train their children the way they should go and when they grow up, they'll not depart from it.

Also, Prince OluwaBukola Haruna, the Chairman Ife East Local Government, has appealed to Muslim faithful to maintain their standard in Ramadan lecture.

Haruna charges them not to go back to their sinful acts they abandoned during Ramadan fasting, but to move closer to Allah and live peacefully with one another.

In the same vain, Alhaji Sarafadeen Akinlooye, the Proprietor Akinlooye Private School, Iloro Area, Ile-Ife, admonished Muslims to live in harmony by maintain unity and friendship with others as Holy Quran stated.

Akinlooye admonished Muslims to practice what Ramadan lesson thought them during the fasting by not forsake them.

Additionally, the Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Alhaji Ibikunle Lawal, assured Muslims that if they believe, follow and embrace what Quran thought them, things will go well.

He reaffirmed that failure to harken to the voice of Allah causes a lot of problems, condemned attitude of some children that are trying to quickly get rich without minding the cost.

He urged them to follow the footsteps of Prophet Mohammed and things will effectively run smoothly for all and sundry.
