The First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, has urged citizenry to exercise patients with the administration of President Bola Tinubu saying there is hope for a better future.
Mrs Tinubu made the appeal during her courtesy visit to the Palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, on Thursday, in Ile-Ife.
She said that the current administration is committed to providing sustainable development for Nigerians and will do all it takes to ensure that Nigerians are not disappointed.
She said the president was aware of the current challenges facing the country and working hard to provide sustainable solution to the challenges.
"This administration just spent two years, so they are not the cause of the economic situation on ground.
"We are trying all efforts to ensure that the economy is stabilised and masses are living meaningful lives.
"Though the subsidy is removed for the past two years but we are able to sustained through prayers in which many government have tried it and failed.
"We must train our youth on how to work, I'm 64-year-old, still agile and hard working, condemned social media that encouraging youths on laziness, which must be corrected". She emphasised.
The first lady also charged the youths to be hardworking, "there is no food for the lazy man again across the country, even God worked for six-day and rested on the seventh-day.
She admonished the youths to stop complaining, but should engage themselves on one business or the other through different Ministries.
"Nigeria is a land that's flowing with milk and honey, but we need to sustain it for generations to come.
"God has richly blessed my family before getting to presidency and we are contented with it, for hardly could you see people of our caliber like this therefore we cannot disappoint Nigerians.
"For we are pledging with the help of God and prayers to take the nation to it's promised land". She maintained.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, acknowledged the visit of the first lady to the ancient city of Ile-Ife and for their efforts to ensure that Nigeria become the best country so far.
