Children's Day: Ooni donates N1m, 10 Bags of Rice to Teachers


The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, has donated  the sum of N1 million with ten bags of rice to the teachers that brings their students to palace for children's day.

Ogunwusi made the donation during the Royal Children's Day celebration held at his Palace, on Saturdat, in Ile-Ife.

The Teachers Coordinator at the event, Comrade Romoke Babatunde,  from Idita Demonstration Primary School, Bonke Road, Ile-Ife, thanked Ooni for the gifts and his fatherly role.

Babatunde said that truly, N1 million with 10 bags of Rice was pronounced, but as at time of filing this reports, the money has not been dropped.

She stated further that hopefully, before the week runs out, she will get the alert, for Oba Ogunwusi will not promised without fulfilling.

Ooni has been a good father to them who has been playing a fatherly role for the teachers and children at large.

She called on students to face their studies and ensure of being a good ambassadors in the society.

The Sooko Adegboyega Ogunwusi, commended Ooni and his queen for organising the programme for the children. 

Sooko charged the children to be an obedient ones to their parents and their teachers, for them to attain greatly in life.

He called on their parents to ensure appropriate monitoring and both education and moral training is given to them for brighter future.

Among the sponsors of the programme are: Living Trust Mortgage Bank Plc; Summal foods, Indomine, Hopes Alive Initiative(HAI) among others.

Different secondary and primary schools of both private and public schools attended the programme with divers entertainments.
